So, when I popped onto my computer after getting home from work today, I found a delightful link from
teferi waiting for me in pidgin. "http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vt_related_1&listing_id=15247386 I saw this and thought of you" it said. I am lusting for these shiny earrings now. *sigh*
Also, Thin Lizzy is much awesomeness. Very shiny, their songs make me grin. Like Cowboy Song, I'm not entirely sure what it is that makes me like it so much, I just know that I do.
So, I'm nearing the end of Anathem, and the more I read, the weirder it gets. I thought Neal Stephenson was whacked before, which is part of the reason he's one of my three favorite authors, but dude is going into really whacked territory with this one. It might require a second read of the book to properly parse, but the more I read, the more I like. I am especially digging the monks without all the religious baggage attached. Also, the vocab even stays crunchy in milk, and will give me something to chew on a while to come, as I decide what I can fold into my day to day use.
